Afmadow, (insidesomalia.org) - Unknown militias were this morning seen carrying out military maneuvers in the some locations that come under Afmadow district in the lower Jubba region in southern Somalia.

These militias are grouping themselves at a place called Ag Libah in the southern direction of Afmadow district.

The central motive behind the gathering of these unknown militias is mysterious, but some unconfirmed reports says that these militias have been grouping themselves in the past months, coming from different parts of the region including Qoqani, Dobley, Afmadow and so many other sections in the region as well.

Afmadow district administration is showing different concept regarding about the presence of these armed militias in the region.

Despite the grouping of these militias at Ag Libah location, there are other speculations among the residents of Afnadow district regarding, about these new militias saying that they have links with recent battle with them and the Islamic Courts Union at Kuda in the lower Juba region.

Contradicting reports from the area say that these militias are from the region and are widely known by the inhabitants in the area.

The Transitional Federal Government governance is active in the lower Juba region and every tribe in the region has its own-armed militias.

Yet there are no comments from the elders and other dignitaries in Afmadow district about these militias.
